alright my Tuesday and Thursday mornings are spent soaking up all the wisdom from my English professor. seriously I never thought that learning about prose and poetry could be this interesting. Some new literary terms I’ve learnt:
iamb
trochee
spondee
phyrric
annapest
dactyl
it does sound like a really technical literature course huh. well I managed to learn a new way to dissect poems. Remember back in secondary school, we would have to analyse each stanza and try to interpret it. Haha for this class, the first lesson on poetry was learning how to read a poem in a really technical manner, in other words working out the ‘stressed’ and ‘unstressed’ syllables present and figuring out if the poem is trimeter or quadmeter etc.

Cool huh! ☺ ok I think that’s about all I have to say for now. Will rack my brains for more interesting things to post here.
